On the valley of Divoká Orlice river, by the road I/14 and by the train track no.021, in the south-east part of the Rychnov nad Kněžnou county, on the border with Ústí nad Orlicí county lies town POTŠTEJN and village BRNÁ.
Potštejn is first mentioned in year 1287. In the second half of 18. century is known as a famous summer resort. The great propagator of this town was in Potštejn born profesor of Charles University Dr. Jan Urban Jarník. Nowadays Potštejn offers visitors nice nature, various sport and cultural actions and mainly ruins of the gothic castle.
